# Adding/Editing helpers

Wikey allows users to recover their account, in case the phone is lost, not by using text messages or recovery email or ID. \
\
IDs, emails, and text messages can be hacked or phished and used against the users to overtake the account. \
\
Instead,  the WiKey app asks the user to add "helpers".  \
Helpers are people that know the user and can identify the user in case his phone gets lost.&#x20;

In this example, the user added his helper - super14. \
super14 has 4 helpers which can also be added. &#x20;

Adding a helper is done by checking the option by his name, and clicking on the "Continue" button.&#x20;
